A much requested course coming this fall:
Interested in theatre puppets? Do you need a “helping hand” for pedagogical work? Are you itching to do something with your hands? Come to Puppet Theatre Sampo for Anne’s hand puppetry course.
The two-day course (total duration 10h) will take place on 18-19 October 2024 at Puppet Theatre Sampo.
Fascinating hand puppets are good at building, writing, poetry, storytelling and they are also excellent listeners. The hand puppet is an excellent assistant in pedagogical work, because it loves to perform, it wants to be on stage. Come and make your own puppet for a colleague, for the stage or as a gift for a friend!
The course instructor is puppeteer, puppet builder, pedagogue Anne Lihavainen.
In Anne’s course, hand puppets are made from soft materials.
Course schedule:
Fri 18.10. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sat 19.10. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m
The price of the course is €120.

Welcome to the marionette workshop!
In this workshop, colorful woolen socks are transformed into animals that move with the help of two threads. We teach our new friends to walk to the beat of the music, and after the workshop, you can take your own wool sock marionette home. You wouldn’t believe that something so charming and unique could be born from woolen socks!
Instructor: Anne Lihavainen.
At the workshops you get to know the enchanting world of puppetry and its many possibilities as a tool for joint play and creative activity.
Recommended age: 4 years and up. Children under school age only with parents. The workshop is held mainly in Finnish, but English speakers are welcome too, and will get guidance in English.
Workshop fee 18€/person (all who are making their own puppet, need a ticket).
